Privacy Notice

This notice describes the data Miller County Busted Mugshots may receive, why it is used, and when it can be shared. By using the service, visitors accept the practices described here. Outside tools and government resources have their own privacy practices.

Information Submitted Directly

Search entries

A name, location, or other term entered in a search box is sent to the third-party provider that operates that search function. Miller County Busted Mugshots does not store or maintain a log of those search terms on its own systems.

Messages

If a visitor sends a message or email, the information supplied may be retained to answer the inquiry or address the request. We do not disclose messages outside our organization unless disclosure is required by law.

Technical Data and Cookies

When a page loads, systems used to operate the service may receive routine technical information, including:

  • Internet protocol address.
  • Browser type and version.
  • Device type and operating system.
  • Pages viewed and time spent on them.
  • Referring page, when available.
  • Date and time information.

Cookie controls

Cookies and similar tools help measure use and maintain expected page behavior. Browser settings can limit or block cookies, although some features may then work differently.

How Information Is Used

Collected information may be used to operate and improve the service, route a query to the appropriate provider, understand which material is useful, diagnose technical problems, and display advertising that may be relevant to a visitor's interests.

Outside Links and Services

Links can lead to sheriff roster pages, court portals, corrections resources, records offices, and third-party search tools. Their own privacy notices apply after a visitor leaves this service. Advertising partners may also measure activity across different websites on their own systems.

Public-record requests to the sheriff are handled by the responsible public office, not through this privacy notice. Missouri's Sunshine Law guidance and RSMo ยง610.026 describe the request and response framework.

Parties That May Receive Data

Personal information is not sold. It may be shared only as needed with the following categories of recipients:

  • Search providers that process a submitted query.
  • Analytics providers that help measure service use.
  • Advertising networks that deliver or measure advertising.
  • Government or law-enforcement authorities when a valid legal order requires disclosure.

Security Practices

Reasonable administrative and technical measures are used to protect information. No internet-connected service can guarantee complete security, so visitors should avoid sending sensitive information through ordinary email or an unsecured contact channel.

Visitors Under 18

This service is intended for adults. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. A parent or guardian who believes a minor submitted information may request its deletion.

Privacy Choices

Subject to applicable law, a visitor may ask for a copy of personal information held, request correction of inaccurate information, ask that information be deleted, or opt out of certain processing. A request should identify the information involved well enough for us to respond.

Changes to This Notice

We may revise this notice when service practices change. The updated version will be posted here with an updated effective date, and continued use after posting indicates acceptance of the revised notice.
